| Job Description |
Seeking a junior- to mid-range engineer with design experience in stormwater, LID, watershed projects.
Assist team in conducting a comprehensive evaluation of the Bailey Creek Watershed and generate a Stormwater Management Concept Plan for Fort Lee, Virginia, followed by Stormwater Construction Design Plans for each identified catchment basin within the watershed.
Incorporate maximum use of Low-Impact Development (LID) strategies, and adhere to section 404 Clean Water Act, the Chesapeake Bay Preservation Act.
Assist in evaluating the metrics of the Bailey Creek Watershed on Fort Lee to include soils, floodplain, catchment basins, impervious surface, existing stormwater infrastructure, and drainage characteristics to generate an overall stormwater management concept plan. Work with senior team members to develop stormwater construction designs for each catchment basin of the Bailey Creek watershed within the Fort Lee boundaries. |

| Skill Requirements |
Bachelor's degree in hydrology, natural resources, forestry, soils, engineering, sustainability planning or related field. Experience with NPDES stormwater plans related to site design and construction development. Engineering and ecological skills to design Low-Impact Development and stormwater plans. Able to work with construction plans and specs. Ability to work with limited supervision to meet project goals on time.
Some hydrologic and/or hydraulic calculations experience. Some training in stormwater hydrology and hydraulics – and a willingness to learn.
Some experience with watershed or stream modeling.
