| Job Description |
Validate Army LEED projects. Provide sustainable design support services for planning, implementing, and follow-up to ensure the Army construction projects meet LEED goals.
Participate in early construction project planning. Attend, coordinate, and facilitate LEED® credit dialogue and negotiations during planning and design charrettes; assist client staff, as needed, in managing the LEED validation portion of each project. Provide technical guidance/ recommendations for potential LEED® credits that may be achievable and practical. Provide assistance in adding credits to each project’s sustainable design rating whenever feasible.
Identify initial sustainable design credit goals and identify any changes to those goals as they occur and include the rationale for the changes. Inform management of any new sustainable design policies or requirements.

| Skill Requirements |
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (preferred Master’s Degree) in architecture, civil, mechanical or environmental engineering, environmental studies, environmental sciences, renewable energy, sustainability planning, natural resources management, or related field. Full understanding of LEED NC and EB.
7 - 10 years of progressively responsible work experience in sustainability, energy management, LEED, design, environmental management, construction. or realted area.
Ideal candidates will possess one or several of the following professional accreditations: o LEED Accredited Professional o Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
Technical experience with the following tools/methods/standards is desired: o EPACT 2005 o Energy Star o ASHRAE Level 1 and 2 energy audits o Building energy modeling o ASHRAE 55, 62.1, and 90.1 standards Professional training and work experience in energy efficiency, sustainability planning, master planning and/or sustainable design and construction. Military installation experience a plus.
Good computer skills in MS Office software are essential. Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
