The world is experiencing unprecedented investment in emissions reducing technologies, renewable energy infrastructure & clean development. The United States, a newcomer to GHG (Greenhouse Gas) emissions reduction legislation, is about to experience rapid growth in Renewable Electricity Generation & Carbon Credit origination as it heads towards a Cap & Trade regime in 2012. An immediate requirement has been identified for a senior leader to develop the numerous opportunities facing Cargill in a carbon-constrained world. The Manager role will primarily revolve around leading investments and physical projects aligned to Cargill's core businesses & customers in the animal & agricultural sectors, as well as eventually broadened to a wide range of industries. The incumbent will lead renewable energy investment and origination on a global basis, working closely with those managing carbon credits and power marketing. Additional responsibilities include building the capability to originate & deliver biomass from around the world to supply asset investments. This role will be located in our Minneapolis, Minnesota office, (Geneva, Switzerland and London, England will also be considered). Principal Accountabilities:
* Identify investment opportunities in Renewable Energy, working with the business unit leader to deliver completed equity requests to board members and Cargill executives. * Create a portfolio that adds to existing investments in Express Energy & ART plc. * Structure commercial terms for supply and offtake arrangements for biomass, carbon credits & renewable energy from targeted investments. * Work with existing ETI (Energy, Transportation and Industrial platform) energy activities to optimize commercial returns from offtake. * Further develop biodigester projects for Cargill Environmental Finance's AWM pipeline to physical completion & identify complimentary projects both externally & at Cargill sites globally. * Build a biomass origination capability via investments in forestry projects providing long term contracts to the renewable energy industry. * Become a senior key member of the GEEPG (Global Emissions European Power and Gas) management, helping shape its future in electricity, natural gas & carbon.

| Skill Requirements |
Required
* Bachelors degree * Minimum 10 years experience in leading projects, preferably with a focus that involves the energy industry. * Working knowledge of investing in high level project structures. * Strong and proven commercial skills. * Excellent ability to communicate and lead across a broad audience (including Cargill executives as well as Cargill's key accounts). * Strong business building and leadership capabilities.
