SUMMARY: Own strategic decision making processes for one or more brands in the GMCR coffee brand portfolio. With Marketing Director and Brand Marketing team, lead the strategic management of the company’s brand portfolio to achieve short and long-term growth objectives. Responsibilities include development and management of brand positioning, consumer demand generation, and geographic development strategy, as well as product and channel strategy in collaboration with the Product and Customer Marketing teams. This marketing leadership role includes business analysis, development and communication of strategic recommendations and plans, management of promotions, and effective collaboration with internal partners in a fast-paced, high growth environment.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Project-based supervision of one or more Brand Marketing Specialists.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Manage the strategy for one or more brands within our coffee brand portfolio, leading the thinking on brand positioning and identity, product, placement, pricing, and promotion. - Work to ensure brand strategies are carried out across marketing and sales disciplines. - Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop brand-building programs. - Develop overall picture of brand activity and support and drive plans to ensure brand growth goals are met. - Work with internal Creative and PR teams, as well as external advertising agencies to carry out effective promotional and communication plans that are in line with brand positioning and identity. - Work closely with Customer, Product, and Trade Marketing to ensure the Sales team has what they need to succeed. - Track brand results to inform recommendations and guide future programs. - Provide leadership across company on select projects. - Serve as the brand-focused team member on select initiatives. - Contribute to the building of a consumer and brand-centric organization. - Follow GMC processes to ensure success and facilitate strong communications. - Track projects and promotions against set objectives, analyze and evaluate success of the projects, and pursue path to optimization – without significant guidance or supervision. - Other duties as assigned.
OTHER NECESSARY FUNCTIONS: - Follows all policies, procedures, ergonomic standards and safety requirements directed by GMCR and the department. - Performs other duties as requested by management. |

| Skill Requirements |
QUALIFICATIONS: - MBA or equivalent experience in a marketing management role. - Prior experience in brand or product management. Experience within food and beverage and/or consumer packaged goods is a plus. - Solid understanding of marketing strategy and tactics. - Outstanding organizational skills to ensure tight deadlines are met both internally and externally - Ability to manage others directly and indirectly, to work autonomously and in a team environment, to get along with others and with management both internally and externally. - Excellent communication skills, including written and presentation skills. - Ability and enthusiasm for acquiring new skills and knowledge. - Highly developed analytic and problem-solving skills - Strong research, negotiating, interpersonal, and communication skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS: - Predominately sedentary light office position with high frequency of keyboarding/computer work required (67% - 100% of the workday).
