| Job Description |
Under the primary direction of the Dean of Instruction and Student Learning, the incumbent will plan, coordinate and/or oversee activities related to the College's GreenForce Programs with a focus on outreach to targeted communities and feeder high schools to ensure program enrollment and student success.
Responsibilities: Primary Responsibilities: . Coordinates grant work plan objectives and activities. . Works with the green business community, community agencies and K-12 partners to recruit students into green instructional programs with the goal of meeting workforce needs. . Coordinates with student services, basic skills, and tutoring at the College to support student success. . Works closely with the Careers and Technology and the Science, Math and Engineering Divisions at the College where green programs are housed. . Coordinates and monitors the College's GreenForce activities and contracts. . Supervises assistant/clerk to support the grant and the College's GreenForce projects. . Develops collaborative partnerships with economic development organizations, industry associations, and other workforce intermediaries in support of GreenForce programs and initiatives at CRC. . Promotes the services and resources of the College's GreenForce programs to the Sacramento area business community. . Works with local high schools and community agencies to create career pathways for students. . Coordinates outreach efforts with community agencies. . Maintains the reporting and accountability for the College's GreenForce program performance. . Oversees budget expenditures and establishes systems, collects data, and maintains computerized records necessary for budget audit trails, project evaluation, and reporting requirements. . Performs related duties as assigned. . Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends when necessary.
Additional Responsibilities: We Value: . Experience teaching or working with teachers. . Experience in or an understanding of grants, program development and the dynamics of green/clean energy business community.

Minimum Qualifications: 1. Have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution completed by January 4, 2010. 2. Have one year of progressive responsibility in education, business, government or non-profit sector. 3. Have sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
Knowledge of: . Project coordination, including partnerships with internal constituencies and external agencies, organizations and schools. . Planning, implementing, administering, and evaluating educational programs and services, budgets, and grant funding. . Training and evaluation methods and instruments as well as strategies to measure performance. . Grant reporting and budgeting requirements.
Ability to: . Meet schedules and timelines. . Establish good working relationships with a variety of individuals and organizations and facilitate inter-organizational cooperation. . Quickly learn college and district organization and applicable operations, policies, and procedures. . Routinely utilize internet research, computer word processing, email, and spreadsheet programs . Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. . Travel to meetings locally.
