AIS, Inc, a contractor to the National Marine Fisheries Service, NOAA. We hire, train and manage fisheries observers for the NMFS in the Northeast Region. We work directly with the NMFS Fisheries Sampling Branch out of the Northeast Fisheries Science Center (NEFSC) in Woods Hole, MA. We are a privately owned company with over 130 employees. Our observers work for us out of ports in NC, VA, DE, NJ, NY, RI, MA, NH and ME. Our main office is in New Bedford, MA.
