API is a national, non-profit organization dedicated to ending animal abuse and exploitation through legislation, litigation, advocacy, and public education; focusing primarily in the areas of wildlife, companion animals, and animals used in entertainment, laboratory research, and agriculture.
API also operates the API Primate Sanctuary, located in Dilley, Texas, where more than 400 primates rescued from abusive situations in laboratories, roadside zoos, and private possession live in a free-range environment with minimal human interference.
