Since its inception in 1958, Heritage Conservancy, a non-profit membership organization, has established itself as an innovative regional leader in land conservation and historic preservation. To accomplish its mission, Preserving Our Natural and Historic Heritage, the conservancy employs sound resource management, open space protection, adaptive reuse of historic structures and compatible ecological and economic development. With landscape-level sustainability as a key driver, the conservancy identifies the most appropriate conservation tools for each community with which it works.
