About US Green Building Council-North Texas Chapter The North Texas Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council is hiring an Executive Director who will be supported by a Chapter Coordinator and Administrator. Building on our success and the momentum in the field, we are expanding our organization to ensure that our work is not only sustainable, but continually compelling and connected to the needs of the community.
A chapter of the National USGBC, the USGBC North Texas Chapter was founded in 2002 and incorporated as a 501(c)(3) in 2003. The Chapter’s mission is to promote a sustainable, profitable and healthy built environment in the North Texas area through: Education, Professional Training and Outreach.
Our growth and accomplishments have drawn local and regional attention and praise. Our dedicated and passionate volunteers deliver exemplary programs, outreach, and partnerships across a diverse region that covers the North Texas Region as well as our branch in West Texas.
Governed by a board comprised of 13 community leaders and professionals, the USGBC North Texas Chapter has over 900 members and a distribution list of more than 3,700 people representing a wide variety of organizations and backgrounds. Community development and education as well as building collaborative partnerships within the environmental and social equity communities are key organizational goals.
